I am back!

It has been a while since I posted here on my blog! ¬†Luckily I have people around me that encouraged me to return to blogging. ūüôā ¬†Thank you to the people that were taking time out of their day to read my blog, I hope that you continue to read now that I am back. ¬†ūüôā

To start off, Naila is now 16 months old, she is all over the place and she has such an amazing little personality.  She keeps me busy!  Check out her Instagram @nailamaritim she is a small shop representative and in her highlights we offer lots of discount codes for amazing clothing, and accessories for family and friends.

No major changes in the past few months, I am still a SAHM.  I take pictures of Naila almost every day as the weather allows for our small shop repping.  If you follow her Instagram you will understand what it all cosists of.  Always remember to support small shops.  It is important because you are what will keep them in business.

I am currently brainstorming on amazing topics to talk about here.  I wanted to ask you fellow readers to provide input on what you would like to read about next.  I would love the feedback because I want to keep my readers engaged as much as possible.  Leave a comment here letting me know or message me on Instagram or Facebook if that is easier for you, please and thank you!

This concludes my blog post for today!

Maricela Monday’s: My Weekend

Maricela Monday’s: My Weekend

Happy Monday wonderful people! ¬†If you are new here, Welcome! ¬†If you’ve been keeping up with my Blog Welcome back! ¬†Today I am going to talk about my weekend and mention a couple of favorites that I re-discovered this weekend.

7453fb5de216c887510440be824d46b3--rest-quotes-quotes-quotes

Sometimes self-care is exercise and eating right. ¬†Sometimes it’s as simple as taking a nap. ¬†Whatever it might be that allows you to relax and recharge, do it. ¬†We moms get so caught up in always taking care of others that we forget about ourselves. ¬†Just remember that you only live once and you deserve to focus on yourself sometimes, be a little selfish but not too selfish. ūüôā

This weekend I fully relaxed. ¬†Saturday morning I woke up early and went to the gym. ¬†Working out makes me feel so good! ¬†Saturday night we went on a date along with Naila. ūüôā ¬†Had some delicious steak and yesterday I got a massage for the first time ever. ¬†Let’s just say it is life changing for sure. ¬†I feel like a complete new woman! ¬†So relaxed and enjoyed just being about myself. ¬†My weekend was just amazing and ¬†will definitely be getting full body massages regularly.

The 2 items that I re-discovered this weekend are:

  1. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume– this is considered to be a fruity floral scent. ¬†It is light and airy and it smells so good. ¬†ūüôā ¬†I’ve owned this perfume for a while and I have not gotten tired of it. ¬†ūüôā
  2. Glamglow Thirstymud Treatment Mask– GlamGlow is an amazing brand overall. ¬†This mask specifically is a¬†non-drying hydration mask that delivers instant and extreme moisture to your skin that leaves it glowing and looking healthier than ever. ¬†Anything GlamGlow I love! ūüôā

This concludes my blog post for today!  If you have any questions at all, ask away.

Must have Monday

Must have Monday

Good morning and happy Monday to you all. ¬†I am excited to talk about today’s must have which is the¬†Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar. ¬†I recently started taking 1 to 2 tbsp of it first thing in the morning before breakfast.

The benefits that come from drinking ACV are endless, it helps regulate blood sugar levels, lower cholesterol, improve skin health, helps with digestion, reduces blood pressure and enhances weight loss.  Amazing right?

Some people hate the taste of it so they decide to stop taking it. ¬†It’s not the best tasting but to me that’s not reason enough to stop me from taking it. ¬†To take it first shake the bottle to mix¬†in the ‘Mother’ after that you can mix 1 tbsp with hot or cold water first thing in the morning and 1 tbsp before bed. ¬†I personally take a shot of it and then chase it down with Powerade Zero or water. ¬†Another form of taking it that I will definitely be trying is 1 tbsp of ACV with half a cup of water and a lemon.

I encourage you to start taking this with me! ¬†ūüôā ¬†Let’s get healthy together, drink your Bragg Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, drink water,¬†eat clean, get enough sleep and live an active lifestyle. ¬†

Get paid to shop!

Get paid to shop!

I hope everyone had an amazing Monday!

Are you an online shopper like me? If you are. How would you like to get paid to do it?

Sounds amazing and hard to believe right?

Unknown

Well with the Ebates app I am able to shop online and get a percentage back of whatever I spend. ¬†With a baby girl I am always spending money on clothes so it’s nice to be able to get some of that money back.

I know exactly what many of you are thinking, “I have to spend money to make money?” Yes, but it’s shopping that you already did before this, nothing extra. You’re still able to use coupons, gift cards, whatever it is that you use when you shop online you’re still able to use it.

My top online stores are Nike, Gymboree, Old Navy, Carter’s, Buy Buy Baby, Lululemon, Macy’s, Sephora, Gap and many more. Yes!!! All of these stores offer cash back through the app.

Search for the stores that you shop at and it will more than likely be there.  Please do not make another online purchase without the Ebates app.

Below is a special invite link.  Sign up with my invite link for a $10 bonus on your first check.

My Favorite Skin Care Products

My Favorite Skin Care Products

I hope everyone is having an amazing Saturday!  Today I wanted to share what I use as far as skin care.  I always like to wash my face twice daily, morning and night.

I had been wanting to try out the Clinique line for a while.  In January for my birthday I finally decided to try it out and I have to say that I love it.

IMG_1028

My favorite is the Dramatically different moisturizing lotion.  My skin tends to change a lot throughout the year.  There were times when I had dry patches on my face and some oily spots as well.  This lotion has made my skin feel and look good for the past few months.

I purchased this set, it has the travel set and the bigger size products for daily use.  This is a 3 step process it has the cleanser, the toning lotion and lastly the moisturizing lotion.

  1. Rinse your face thoroughly with the facial cleanser, you can use a brush or your hands.  Below I will talk more about the brush that I use.
  2. After cleansing dry your face and apply the toning lotion, I apply it with these cotton rounds.
  3. Lastly apply the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.

After step 3 you are done and ready to start the day or end the your day.  They are all phenomenal products please try them out, you will love them.

To cleanse or exfoliate my face I always use some kind of facial brush. ¬†The one that I use is the¬†Foreo Luna 2 , which is a facial cleansing brush and an anti-aging facial massager. ¬† You don’t have to use this specific one there are always other options.

Another very important part of skin care is using SPF lotion on your face daily.  I personally use one that has an SPF of 40 and it is for men and women.  It is the Clinique Super City Block Ultra Protection SPF 40.  I apply this every time before I go out anywhere.  Aside from protecting my face it is also oil-free, which means no extra shiny face.

Click on the blue underlined letters to check out any of the products that I use.  Please try them out and let me know what you think.

What’s in my gym bag?

What’s in my gym bag?

Hi lovely readers, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Do any of you ever wonder what people have in their gym bag?

Well today I am sharing what I take with me to the gym on a daily basis.  I find that all of these items are a must for me.  Each image is a link that will take you directly to where you can purchase.

Headphones-

My headphones are everything, without music it’s just not the same. ¬†I recently purchased these Beats Solo 3’s and they are honestly the best in my opinion. ¬†They block out any noise and my music just sounds amazing! ¬†When I’m wearing these I feel like I am the only one at the gym.

If you prefer ear phones over headphones click the image on the right, those are great as well and they are also wireless.

Both are available in other colors.

Headphone covers-

These headphone covers protect your ear pads from sweat or make up. ¬†they are washable and dry quickly. ¬†You don’t want to purchase expensive headphones just to ruin them. ¬†Try these out, they have different designs.

Gym bag-

This Vooray gym bag is the perfect size, it’s not huge but not small either. ¬†The zipper compartment on the outside is perfect for keys, gym pass, or even you phone. ¬†I’ve had it for a few months and I love it. ¬†Other colors are available.

Resistance bands-

Make every workout more challenging with resistance bands.  I have about 3 different kinds in my gym bag.  You just never know which one you will prefer.  In reality you just need one set.  lol  Click on any of the images below.

Blender bottle and water bottle-

I always have to take my own water from home to the gym just because I don’t like drinking water from the water fountain. ¬†I use these 2 bottles every single day. ¬†More colors are available, click on the images below.

Barbell pad-

This is a protective pad that will protect you while using a barbell on any part of your body. ¬†I use it for squats, lunges, hip thrusts and more. ¬†This is very useful and a lot of gyms don’t have it available which is why I take my own. ¬†You also kind of don’t want someone else’s sweat on you when using the one provided at your gym.

It is also available in pink.  Click on the image to purchase.

Weight lifting gloves-

I love wearing gloves to get a better grip on the weight bar and because I dont want calluses.  Both pictured below do the job, the ones in the first picture provide extra ventilation.  Click on either image.

Sweat towel-

These are to dry your sweat.  lol

Please don’t let your sweat drip all over the equipment, be mindful of others. ¬†Click on either image.

These are the items that I take to the gym please check them out, try them out you will not regret it.

Day 6 of my squat challenge!

Day 6 of my squat challenge!

Recently I started going to the gym mostly every day.  I love it because the time that I am there is me time and I feel great after every gym session.

This past Sunday I started my own 30 day squat challenge.  The challenge consists of 100 squats per day for 30 days. Squats are great because they provide a workout for multiple muscle groups which include thighs, the butt and core.

IMG_0778

I originally got the idea from a video that I watched on YouTube.  Click below to watch it and get motivated!!!

100 squats might be too much for some people but for others it’s perfect. I like to challenge myself so I always use a specific resistance band for all types of squats. ¬†The bands that I use is also amazing for hip thrust, walking squats, walking side steps, walking forward step, hip abduction and adduction, hip band kick backs and the list goes on. ¬†Click on any of the pictures below to purchase either if the resistance bands.

I challenge you to challenge yourself! Buy the resistance band and start squatting, you can basically do it anywhere. If you travel a lot, start squatting at the airport.  If you have kids, start squatting while they eat or nap.  If you work all of the time, squat during your 15 minute breaks.

I will let you guys know what changes I see on my body after I am done with my 30 day squat challenge.
